Mark has a background in direct development, asset management and investment finance. He has directly developed over 50 primary healthcare properties and has a number in the pipeline.

He is heavily involved in direct development funding with a particular focus on the public sector.

Mark has established a number of companies developing, trading and investing in commercial and medical property, under the umbrella of or associated with Greenwich Estates which he set up with Graham in 1995. From start-up these companies have grown to hold aggregate portfolios in excess of £70m. He has also chaired a retail pharmacy company from start-up which was sold after 5 years to a consortium led by Barclays Capital in April 2008.

Before becoming a direct investor Mark spent 15 years at Sun Alliance, initially as an insurance underwriter before property investment.

Mark is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a former director of the Investment Property Forum, a current member of its Academic Committee overseeing the IPF Diploma programme and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Outside interests revolve around family and collecting the occasional classic motorbike.
